Terms & conditions

The rules for using this site and buying from us. Vintage goods are old and sold as they are, so please read sections 5 and 6 before you buy.

Vintage Trade Co.Effective October 14, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and IV & MP Investments LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company doing business as Vintage Trade Co. ("Vintage Trade Co.," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to your use of www.vintagetrade.co (the "Site") and to any purchase you make from us. By using the Site or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company or production, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

2. Using the site

You may use the Site to learn about us and contact us. You agree not to misuse it, including by sending spam or unlawful content, trying to get around our security or bot protection, interfering with the Site's operation, or scraping it in bulk. Our privacy policy explains how we handle what you send us.

3. Information on the site

The Site describes the kinds of items we carry. It is not an offer to sell any particular item. Availability changes, and descriptions, photos and examples are general and may not reflect a specific piece. Only a written quote from us describes a specific item, its condition and its price.

4. Quotes & orders

  • A quote is valid for the period stated on it or, if none is stated, for 7 days, and only while the item remains unsold.
  • An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing and receive payment as set out in the quote or invoice. Until then, we may sell the item to someone else.
  • Prices are in U.S. dollars. Shipping, freight, crating and applicable taxes are shown on the quote or invoice.
  • If we make an obvious error in a price or description, we may correct it and give you the option to proceed or cancel for a full refund.
  • Where a quote or invoice includes terms that differ from these, the quote or invoice controls for that sale.

5. Condition & as-is sales

Our items are vintage and used. They come from many different sources and may have been used, displayed or stored for years before reaching us. Expect age, wear, fading, repairs, patina, missing parts and other imperfections. We describe known condition in good faith, but measurements, era, maker and age are our best estimates, not guarantees, and photos may not show every flaw. Ask before you buy if anything matters to you.

Unless your written quote or invoice expressly says otherwise, every item is sold "as is, where is," with all faults.

6. Warranty disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No oral statement, photo or description creates a warranty unless it is written into your quote or invoice as a warranty.

7. Vehicles, machinery & props

Vehicles

Vehicles are sold as-is and may not be roadworthy, registered, insured, or compliant with current safety or emissions rules. Unless the quote says so, we make no representation about mileage, mechanical condition, or matching numbers. We'll transfer whatever title or ownership documents we hold, as described in the quote. You are responsible for inspection, registration, titling, taxes, transport and making a vehicle legal and safe before any use on public roads or on set.

Equipment & machinery

Equipment and machinery may be decades old and may not meet current safety standards. Items described as "display" or "non-working" are not to be operated. For any item you intend to operate, you are responsible for having it inspected and repaired by a qualified person, for providing guards and safety equipment, and for using it lawfully and safely.

Props & wardrobe

Props, dressing and wardrobe are sold for display, costume and collecting. They are not certified for any functional, safety, structural, food-contact or child use. Older items may contain materials common in their era, such as lead paint or asbestos. Handle, clean and use them accordingly.

8. Shipping, title & risk

  • We ship within the United States by parcel carrier or freight, as set out in the quote. Delivery dates from carriers are estimates.
  • Title to an item passes to you when we receive payment in full.
  • Risk of loss passes to you when we hand the item to the carrier, or when you or your agent collect it. If you buy shipping insurance through us, we'll help you file a claim.
  • Please inspect deliveries on arrival, note any visible damage on the carrier's paperwork, and tell us within 3 days of delivery with photos.
  • For freight, someone must be available to receive the delivery and you're responsible for unloading equipment and access at the destination unless the quote says otherwise.

9. Cancellations & returns

Because each vintage item is one of a kind and described before purchase, all sales are final unless your quote or invoice states a return or cancellation policy. If an item arrives materially different from its written description, tell us within 3 days of delivery and we'll work with you to make it right, which may include a return for a refund.

10. Trademarks & clearances

Vintage items often bear the names, logos and designs of their original makers. Those marks belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and selling you a physical item doesn't give you any rights in those marks or designs. If you show an item on camera or in other media, getting any clearances you need is your responsibility.

11. Our content

The Site's text, design, graphics and photos belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal or internal business use, such as sending a link to your department head, but you may not copy or reuse our content commercially without our written permission.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, production delays or costs, or lost data, arising out of the Site or any item we sell, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid us for the item involved, and for any other claim, one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Vintage Trade Co., IV & MP Investments LLC, and their members, managers and employees from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use, operation, modification, resale or on-screen use of items you buy from us, or from your breach of these terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, each side agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other in writing and allowing 30 days to work it out.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent. These terms, together with any quote or invoice and our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about their subject. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. Changes don't affect orders already accepted.
